Cat Care

We have a small cattery with just 6 chalets, situated the other side of the house from the kennels, so cats and dogs are not in close contact.

The chalets have covered runs, where cats can sit on their sun shelf and watch the world go by, there is a heater for inclement days. We like to feel that in only having a small cattery we have time to treat each cat as the individual it is, taking time to just spend together and get to know each other.

We use an environmentally friendly litter, derived from renewable resources, and we keep a selection of tined and dry foods in order to come close to the foods most cats are fed at home. If your cat requires a special diet, or medication of any kind, please provide us enough to be in excess of your cat's stay to allow for any unforeseen delay in your return. Please provide these items in a secure container, and labelled with your cat's name and your surname. If receiving medication please also provide the reason for the medication, and any symptoms we should be aware of.

All cats should arrive in a secure carrier, any that arrive loose are the responsibility of their owner until they are secure in the cat chalet, and also on departure as soon as they are out of the secure area of the cattery. All cats must be vaccinated, we will need to see the record and note on our record card what vaccine was used, and when.

Fees are per day, or part of a day but if cats are collected before 10:00 am the day of departure that day is free of charge. {due to our housekeeping regimen if chalets are vacated later in the day we are unable to use them again the same day.}

Please check our times over Christmas and new year as these may vary, and book well in advance we are always full at Christmas and have a waiting list for any cancellations we may have. We are usually fully booked for Christmas by early November.
